Hi, I’m Dr Yemisi Adedeji! I’m a Scientist, Mentor, Global Talent Visa recipient endorsed by the Royal Society, and host of the Immigrant Voices & Victories podcast.
My Story
My journey began as an international student pursuing a PhD in Virology in the UK. What started as a dream quickly became a test of faith, resilience, and growth. From navigating research challenges to adjusting to a new culture, I experienced first-hand the complexities of building a career abroad.
Over the past decade, I have moved from student to scientist, and from uncertainty to recognition as a Global Talent Visa recipient endorsed by the Royal Society. Along the way, I discovered a passion for helping others do the same — to turn their experiences, research, and impact into stories that open doors.
Today, I mentor aspiring academics and professionals on their Global Talent journey, combining my scientific background, lived immigrant experience, and deep understanding of UK systems to help them succeed with confidence.
